Saturday night's fireworks were the best many have seen on the Paducah riverfront in quite awhile. The crowd clapped and yelled and sang along with the music as the sky glowed and booms rang out across the river.

The Community Concert Band created a patriotic setting with American flags flying behind them as they played the crowd's favorites for the 4th of July celebration. The Wilson Stage appeared to be floating on the rising Ohio River - rare for this time of year.

"I've been coming down here, or to Noble Park when I was young, to see the fireworks for decades and this was, by far, the best I've seen yet. The music and the grand finale were really great....well worth the drive and making our way through the traffic and crowds. The American Queen being here made it feel like we were in some large city for 4th of July," said 55-year-old Andy Cooper from Vienna, IL.
