Paducah Man Injured in Moped Accident

A Paducah man was injured following an accident on his moped.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, at around 6 PM deputies responded to an accident on Buckner Lane.

When deputies arrived, their investigation determined that 29-year-old Shawn Cain of Paducah was traveling north on Buckner Lane when he was attempting to avoid hitting a dog loose in the street.

Cain lost control of his moped and hit the street. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Deputies say Cain was not wearing a helmet.
