A Paducah man was injured Wednesday morning in a rollover crash.

At around 7:30 am Wednesday deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to the 6800 block of Cairo Road for a single vehicle rollover crash.

Police said 25-year-old Keir L. Woods, of Paducah was driving east on Cairo Road and approached the “Y” intersection at Ogden Landing Road. An unidentified vehicle then reportedly crossed the intersection and Woods attempted to veer around it. Woods dropped off the shoulder of the roadway on Cairo Road, overcorrected and went into the oncoming lane of traffic. Woods then went off the other side of the road, struck a utility pole and overturned.

Police said Woods freed himself, but was taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of apparent non-life threatening injuries.

Kentucky Utilities Company responded to the scene to repair the utility pole.  Woods was cited for operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license.
