A Paducah man was hurt Tuesday when he hit a deer on his motorcycle.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded on Tuesday to a crash in the 5400 block of Contest Road. Deputies said 58-year-old Richard Chandler of Paducah was riding a motorcycle north on Contest Road when a deer ran into his path. Chandler told deputies he was unable to avoid the collision, and struck the deer.

Chandler was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
