Paducah Man Facing Drug, Other Charges After Stop

MCCRACKEN COUNTY - A Paducah man is facing drug and other charges following a traffic stop.
On Friday, deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff's Office performed a traffic stop at the intersection of Schneidman Road and Mayfield Road for an alleged speeding violation.

Over the course of the stop, deputies learned that the driver, 53-year-old Elmer Damron of Paducah, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Deputies searched him and reportedly found drug paraphernalia that contained suspected methamphetamine residue.

Damron was served with the warrant charging him with a violation of a Kentucky EPO and charged with first degree possession of a controlled substance, speeding 14 mph over the limit, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
