A Paducah man is facing a DUI and numerous other charges after a crash on Tuesday.

A Paducah resident contacted the Paducah Police Department to report a truck driving recklessly on Jackson Street, South 21st, and Old Mayfield Road. Officers found the driver as he was turning onto South 16th Street and attempted a traffic stop.

Officers say the truck then ran a red light on Kentucky Avenue and continued toward Broadway where the driver reportedly ran off the road, hit a tree, landscaping, and a sign at BB&T bank. A search of the vehicle allegedly revealed alcohol.

The driver, 36-year-old Zachary M. Collier, was taken to Baptist Health in Paducah for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. He is being charged with second offense DUI, disregarding a stop sign, failure to show an insurance card, first degree criminal mischief, and possession of an open alcoholic beverage in a vehicle.
