A drug trafficking tip has led to the arrest of a McCracken County man.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, detectives received a tip indicating that 37-year-old Anthony Daniels was trafficking methamphetamine.

On October 3 Daniels had been arrested on charges related to trafficking methamphetamine. Daniels had allegedly been found to be in possession of 90 grams of methamphetamine, and was lodged in the McCracken County jail, then released on bond on October 5.

On December 3 detectives say they went undercover and contacted Daniels on his cell phone. Daniels allegedly agreed to meet detectives in the parking lot of a Paducah business to deliver an ounce of methamphetamine.

According to law enforcement officials, Daniels arrived a short time later with a 5-year-old child in the vehicle with him. Daniels was arrested and a search allegedly uncovered 43 grams of methamphetamine.

Daniels is being charged with second offense trafficking in methamphetamine, and wanton endangerment.

The child was released to a family member and Daniels was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.
