Paducah Man Arrested on Marijuana Charge

A Paducah man was arrested on drug charges Thursday afternoon after a traffic stop in the Farley area.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says detectives stopped a vehicle at around 3:15 pm in the 900 block of Yarbro Lane for a traffic violation. Deputies said they walked a dog around the vehicle and it alerted to the presence of drugs. Detectives searched the vehicle and reportedly found about 12 ounces of Marijuana along with digital scales.

Detectives arrested the driver, 29-year-old Kenneth Shelley, and seized $1403 in what they suspect were proceeds from drug sales. 

Shelley was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail.
