A Paducah couple is in jail facing felony meth manufacturing offenses following a two day investigation by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, detectives began an investigation after receiving information that methamphetamine was being made at an abandoned residence on South 25th Street in Paducah.

After obtaining a search warrant detectives executed a search at the abandon residence and seized methamphetamine labs and numerous components to manufacture the drug.

Detectives later learned the residence belonged to 54-year-old Aubrey W. Ritchie, who lives with 34-year-old Stacie L. Richerson on Leeds Drive.

Detectives then obtained and executed a search warrant at the residence on Leeds Drive in the Lone Oak area of Paducah just before 2 pm Thursday.

Richerson and Ritchie were located at the residence and subsequently arrested. During a search of the residence detectives seized a small quantity of methamphetamine, additional components to make methamphetamine, surveillance cameras and assorted drug paraphernalia. Ritchie was also found in possession of a key for the residence on South 25th Street.

Detectives also learned the couple had purchased Sudafed on more than 200 different occasions since May of 2008, indicating that this activity had been taking place for an extended period of time.

Ritchie and Richerson were each charged with complicity to manufacture methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
