The compost facility in Paducah will be temporarily closed to the public to allow for routine brush grinding.

According to City of Paducah officials, the Paducah Compost Facility, located at 1560 North 8th Street will be closed to the public during the weekdays until further notice beginning Tuesday. The facility will be open on Saturdays for the purchase of compost, and for residents to drop off brush, leaves, and yard debris.

A two-yard bucket load of compost costs approximately $20. The facility, which is operated by the City of Paducah Engineering-Public Works Department, is typically open Monday through Saturday from 7 am until 3 pm, and closes on Sundays.
