The City of Paducah Compost Facility, located at 1560 North 8th Street, will be closed to the public for routine grinding until further notice starting today.

Public Information Officer Pam Spencer says the city apologizes for any inconvenience this causes. The regular operating schedule for the Compost Facility is Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. It is closed on Sunday.

When open, the Facility has wood chips and compost available for purchase by the bucket load. An approximately two yard bucket load of wood chips is $10 while the compost costs $20.
