The winners of the 11th annual Paducah 48 Hour Film Project were announced Monday night.

The 48 Hour Film Project is a international competition in which teams compete to make a movie in 48 hours. Each team is given a genre for their film. Every year, a required line of dialogue, character, and prop is announced, which teams have to implement into their movie.

This year, each film had to use "I'm not interested" as a line of dialogue, a glass as a prop, and Glen or Glenda Phipps, a coach, as a character.

Throughout last weekend, the films were screened at Maiden Alley Cinema. At each screening, the audience had a chance to vote on their favorite films for the audience award. Following a screening of the films on the awards night, the winners were announced.

EMP/Red Band Films' movie "Me Two" won best film. "The Historian" by Van Go Films/Socially Present won the audience award.

For winning first place, "Me Two" will be screened at Filmapalooza 2020 in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Second place was awarded to Doctor Deuce for their film "Off the Record".

Seth Hawkins' team, Thirdsun Productions, won best sound design and best special effects for their film "Night of the Fourth". He said "It's fun to push myself each year and have fun with my friends." This is his fourth year competing in the competition.
