The PaDucky Derby has come and gone, and Merryman House announced the winners on Saturday afternoon at Noble Park.

Crowds gathered at the lake's pavilion and around the lake to watch as bucket trucks dropped the ducks into the lake. Then everyone had to wait for the winners to float to the finish line.

This year's event had 7,254 ducks adopted by those who gave to the work of Merryman House, but only two could win. A duck adopted by Anita Williams floated to 1st place, while a duck adopted by Shane Hooper finished second. Williams wins $1,000 and Hooper wins $500.

Merryman House is a non-profit organization that offers both residency and outreach services to meet the needs of victims of intimate partner abuse and their dependents as they strive to live free of violence in their home.
