A crash involving a McCracken County school bus on Monday afternoon, near the intersection of US 45 and North Friendship Road, in Lone Oak, reportedly resulted in no injuries.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Office, a school bus driven by 24-year-old Lucas Smith was transporting students home, when the bus struck the rear of a vehicle driven by 83-year-old Edward Clark of Paducah.

Deputies say Clark's vehicle left the roadway as a result of the crash, and came to rest in the CVS Pharmacy parking lot, near the same intersection.

EMS responded to the scene and confirmed that all occupants of the bus, as well as the other vehicle, had no apparent injuries that required medical treatment, at the time of their response.

McCracken County School System representatives assisted with communicating with families as to what had occurred, as well as ensuring safe transportation was available to return the students to their homes.
