PADUCAH - A Paducah mother and her boyfriend have been arrested for allegedly abusing her three-year-old daughter.

According to the Paducah Police Department, the child's father, Ethan Eason of Georgia, brought his daughter to Paducah in December to visit her mother for two weeks.  After returning to Georgia with the child, the father discovered bruising on the child's lower back, buttocks, legs, and face.  He contacted Georgia authorities, who began an investigation.

On Friday, 26-year-old Lauren Eason of Paducah and 29-year-old Jake Corbett of Calvert City were interviewed at the Paducah Police Department.  Eason allegedly admitted hitting the child with a belt and said Corbett hit the child with his belt and hand.

Eason and Corbett were arrested and charged with first-degree criminal abuse of a child less than 12 years of age.

They were lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
