By West Kentucky Star Staff
PADUCAH - A Morehead man was arrested Saturday on DUI and drug charges.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department says deputies saw a vehicle shortly after 2 a.m. parked next to a closed business on Bridge Street near Yarbro Lane. Deputies said they noticed the vehicle's lights were on and the driver's door was open with feet sticking out.

Deputies discovered the driver, 33-year-old George Adams of Morehead passed out behind the wheel with the keys in the ignition and in the on position. Deputies said it was obvious to them that Adams was inebriated. They arrested him for DUI. During the search of the vehicle, deputies reportedly found heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Adams was taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail and charged with felony DUI, possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
