Mercy Health, Lourdes Hospital is celebrating February’s designation as Black History Month with a free event, Black Pioneers in Healthcare, which will take place Friday, Feb. 28 from 4 to 6 pm in the Borders Community Room of the Marshall Nemer Pavilion on the hospital’s campus.

Daniel P. Murphy, Jr. will be the keynote speaker at Black Pioneers in Healthcare. Murphy is the Assistant Dean of Community Engagement and Diversity at the University of Kentucky J. David Rosenberg College of Law. Additionally, the program will feature a special performance from the Paducah Tilghman High School African American Leadership Club. 

Dinner will be available for attendees. The free event is open to all and registration is not required.
