McCracken Traffic Stop Leads to Drug, Gun Charges

A Paducah man faces drug and weapons charges after a traffic stop early Friday morning.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says deputies pulled over a vehicle at 2:15 a.m. at the intersection of Mayfield Road and South 21st Street. Deputies said they found a stolen handgun, marijuana and drug paraphernalia during a search of the vehicle. 

Deputies arrested the driver, 19-year-old Quandre Shy of Paducah. He's charged with firearm-enhanced marijuana trafficking, possession of drug paraphernalia, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, and receiving stolen property.
