McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the 3900 block of Mayfield-Metropolis Road and that 22-year-old David Shelton, of Gilbertsville, had been southbound when his vehicle hydroplaned and overturned in a large ditch.
Shelton was accompanied by 24-year-old Jordan Stevens. Both were able to exit the vehicle, and Shelton was not injured. However, Stevens was taken to Baptist Health Paducah for treatment of injuries.
Mayfield-Metropolis Road was restricted to one lane for approximately one hour.
