Two people were hurt Sunday evening in a three-vehicle crash.

At around 5:00 pm Sunday, McCracken County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a crash at the intersection of US 60 and Maxon Road. Police said 82-year-old Thelma Carlton, of Paducah was driving south on Maxon Road when she failed to yield to traffic on US 60 and crossed into the path of 28-year-old Crystal Piper and 32-year-old Michael Piper, both of Barlow. Piper’s vehicle then struck the middle guardrail. Police said 20-year-old Henry Coffelt, of Paducah was also traveling westbound on US 60, and lost control while attempting to avoid the crash in front of him. His vehicle then hit the guardrail.

Both Coffelt and Carlton were taken to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
