A Kevil woman faces DUI charges following a crash on Woodville Road Saturday evening.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, at around 8 p.m. deputies responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on Woodville Road. When deputies arrived, their investigation determined that 29-year-old Kerstain Wilson of Kevil was westbound on Woodville Road when her vehicle left the road and came to rest in a ditch.

Deputies determined that Wilson was under the influence of alcohol. When deputies tried to arrest Wilson, she struggled against them. Deputies say after she was placed in the deputy's cruiser, Wilson began to kick the door and window. As the deputy opened the door to speak with Wilson, she kicked them in the chest with both feet.

Wilson was booked into the McCracken County Jail and charged with DUI, resisting arrest, and assaulting a police officer.

The deputy was not injured.
