McCracken Crash Injures Hickory Woman

A two-vehicle crash in McCracken County Monday morning sent one person to the hospital.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, the crash happened in the 4600 block of Husbands Road just before 7 am, when 51-year-old Debra Thomasson of Hickory apparently lost control of her car on wet pavement.

Deputies say a vehicle in front of Thomasson had made an abrupt stop to avoid hitting a dog in the roadway. Thomasson used her brakes, but the wet pavement caused the car to lose control.  

Thomasson's car hit a pick-up truck driven by 24-year-old Eli Edmonds of Paducah.  

Thomasson was taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
