A two-vehicle collision Monday evening on Clarks River Road sent a driver and five children to the hospital.

McCracken County Sheriff's deputies said according to witnesses that a white truck left Jamestown Plaza on Clarks River Road, and drove west in the eastbound lanes for a short distance, which caused several vehicles to have to stop suddenly.

One of the vehicles that stopped was driven by 33-year-old Sunnie Edging of Grand Rivers. After stopping, she was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Brooke Wilson of Paducah.

Wilson had five children in her vehicle at the time of the collision. She, nor any of the children were wearing a seat belt, and none of the children were in a child booster seat at the time of the collision. Three of the children were age 10, one age 9, and one age 7. Wilson and the five children were taken to Lourdes Hospital for treatment of injuries. Wilson was cited at the hospital for failure to wear a seat belt, a child booster seat violation, and careless driving.

Edging and her passenger, 39-year-old Shannon Edging, of Grand Rivers, were not injured.

The truck that left Jamestown Plaza did not stop. If anyone has information on the identity of the person driving the white truck, please contact the McCracken County Sheriff's Office.
