The McCracken County Courthouse is implementing additional restrictions in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to McCracken County Judge Executive Craig Clymer, under the amended Kentucky Supreme Court order 2020-16, and the McCracken County Emergency Executive Order which addresses limited access to the Courthouse, officials are implementing the following additional restrictions beginning April 3.

Under the new restrictions, no members of the public desiring to participate in court trials, hearings, conferences, applications, filings, payments, form acquisitions, or any other court-related matter are permitted to enter the McCracken County Courthouse.

The new restrictions include, attorneys, witnesses, parties, advocates, Emergency Protection Order Applicants, and all emergency court proceedings.

Officials say that participation will be limited to remote access only.

The only exception will be individuals who are unable to participate remotely, and those that provide proof of approval to enter from the McCracken Circuit Court Clerk.
