The teen charged with killing two people and injuring several others at Marshall County High School last month has been arraigned, and his name has been released.
According to Kentucky State Police, 15-year-old Gabriel Parker was arraigned Friday in Marshall County Circuit Court. A grand jury returned an indictment on Tuesday, charging Parker with two counts of murder and 14 counts of 1st degree assault. Parker's identity had not been disclosed before Friday's arraignment.
The charges stem from the Jan. 23 shooting at Marshall County High School. Bailey Nicole Holt and Preston Ryan Cope were killed and another 18 people were injured in the shooting. On Thursday, the town held a vigil for the victims of a Florida school shooting that left 17 dead on Wednesday.
