A Paducah man has been shot and a Marion, Illinois man is in jail.

The Marion Police Department responded just before 12:30 am Sunday to a reported shooting at the intersection of North Vicksburg and West Goodall Streets. They learned the victim had been taken to an apartment on South Bentley Street, and later identified him as 36-year-old Ray Paul Jordan of Paducah.

Jordan was taken to Heartland Medical Center and later airlifted to St. Louis University Hospital for treatment. 

On Monday police arrested 41-year-old Demetrius D. Crittendon of Marion. He is being held at the Williamson County Jail pending formal charges.
