By West Kentucky Star Staff
PADUCAH, KY - Lourdes Foundation’s Fat Tuesday tradition continued on Tuesday, celebrating the 16th annual Mardi Gras & All That Jazz.

Lourdes supporters turned out at the Julian Carroll Convention Center to celebrate and help the Lourdes Foundation raise over $60,000. Funds raised at this annual event support Lourdes services, provide upgrades to facilities, and purchase state-of-the-art technology for patients of Lourdes Hospital.

“We are proud to once again celebrate Mardi Gras & All That Jazz!”, said Jessica Toren, President of Lourdes Foundation. “Ticket sales from this year’s event will help raise funds for new pediatric rooms and expansion of our epilepsy monitoring unit at Lourdes.”

Mike Yungmann, Lourdes President and CEO also added, “We are grateful for our dedicated donors. It is evident that our community has trusted Lourdes’ ability to deliver leading edge services to our patients. This support directly benefits them by transforming the delivery of care and improving the health of our community.”

Those attending enjoyed food and beverages from several local restaurants and vendors, while Lew Jetton and 61 South provided entertainment with classic blues and Southern rock music.  Mardi Gras & All That Jazz has raised over one million dollars for Lourdes Hospital since it began 16 years ago.
