A Paducah man is facing burglary charges after he was reportedly found asleep in the Paducah Board of Education building.

According to the Paducah Police Department, on Monday at approximately 5 PM, officers were called to the Paducah Board of Education building after an alarm was set off.

Officers arrived and checked the building, when they allegedly found a man, identified as 60-year-old James Lee Chandler, asleep on the floor in the accounting office. Chandler reportedly told officers he broke into the building because he was drunk and needed a place to sleep.
