Detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department Drug Division arrested a Paducah man on drug charges following a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon.

While patrolling on Madison Street in Paducah, detectives say they saw 30-year-old Dorian Wilson driving a vehicle, and knew that his driver's license was suspended.

Detectives pulled over the vehicle on Fountain Avenue and detained Wilson. At that time, detectives say they smelled marijuana in the vehicle.

During a search, detectives found marijuana, a digital scale and cash believed to be the proceeds of illegal drug sales.

Wilson was arrested and taken to McCracken County Regional Jail for trafficking in less than 8 ounces of marijuana - 2nd offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving on a suspended license.

The Sheriff's Department says Wilson has prior convictions for trafficking marijuana and possession of controlled substances.
