A Mayfield man was arrested Wednesday on DUI, drug and other charges after a multi-county pursuit.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says a deputy attempted to pull over a vehicle at around 2 a.m. near the intersection of Valley Street and Hovekamp Road for traffic violations. The driver, 31-year-old David B. Miller of Mayfield then fled toward John Puryear Drive. Miller led deputies on a pursuit that went into Marshall County, where it ended near the intersection of Mt. Moriah Rd and US Hwy 68.

Miller initially obeyed commands to get out of the vehicle, but then fled on foot across US Hwy 68 and into several residential yards, before being taken into custody after a short struggle.

A search of Miller’s vehicle revealed suspected meth, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Miller was arrested without further incident and taken to McCracken County Regional Jail. He is charged with two counts of fleeing or evading police, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, wanton endangerment of a police officer, DUI, resisting arrest, driving on a suspended license and traffic offenses.
