Lone Oak Teacher Faces Endangerment, DUI Charges

A teacher at Lone Oak Elementary School was arrested Sunday night on felony wanton endangerment and DUI charges after a crash.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Office says deputies responded at 9 p.m. to a crash on Highland Church Road involving two vehicles. The driver of one of the vehicles, 38-year-old Rachel Colson, was arrested at the scene on charges of felony wanton endangerment, first offense DUI and failure to notify transportation cabinet of an address change.

Deputies said there were no serious injuries in the crash. The driver of the other vehicle was not identified.

Colson was booked into the McCracken County Jail and released on a $1000 bond.

Colson is a second grade teacher at the school. A school employee would not comment on the case when contacted.
