A pair of Lone Oak men are facing multiple charges as the result of an investigation by the Paducah Police Department and the McCracken County Sheriff's Office.

Over the past several days sheriff’s detectives had been investigating numerous vehicle break-ins in the Lone Oak community. Based on their findings, and information received from the Paducah Police Department on Thursday, detectives decided to interview an individual that had recently been incarcerated.

Thursday night following the interview, detectives executed search warrants at the College Avenue Apartments, where officers collected stolen property, including many of the items determined to have been recently stolen from vehicles in the Lone Oak area.

Detectives also searched a wooded area behind the apartments and discovered components used to manufacture methamphetamine. Detectives also discovered evidence that indicated methamphetamine had been recently manufactured.

During interviews with 25-year-old Sean Mitchell and 29-year-old Steven Freeman, both men admitted breaking into several vehicles in the Lone Oak area recently. Freeman claimed ownership of the meth-making components, and admitted to manufacturing meth in the College Avenue area recently.

Three counts of theft by unlawful taking over $500.00
