U.S. Air Force Airman 1st Class Alicia R. Wines has graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

According to a press release, the airman completed an intensive eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. 

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Wines is the daughter of Nerissa R. and step-daughter of Ron L. Collins of Paducah, and granddaughter of Dave and Donna Collins of Paducah, Ron and Sharon Waters of Calvert City, and Frances Lamar of Paducah.

She is a 2016 graduate of McCracken County High School, and also earned an associate degree in 2016 from West Kentucky Community and Technical College.
