Paducah Police are investigating a second burglary at a local pharmacy in as many weeks.

The Paducah Police Department said officers responded shortly before 4 am Tuesday to an alarm at Rick’s Pharmacy, 3001 Schneidman Road. When officers arrived, they found a door had been pried open. They searched the building and found prescription pill bottles strewn in the floor, and found several more bottles on on the ground across the street from the business.

Surveillance video reportedly showed two men pry open the door with a crowbar and enter the store with a trash can. Once inside, police say they dumped prescription medications into the trash can before fleeing the scene.

Detectives say they believe these are the same suspects who broke into the pharmacy during the early morning hours of Dec. 27. One appears to be a black male, wearing a green, hooded jacket, jeans and red tennis shoes. The second appears to be a black male wearing baggy pants and green or black tennis shoes.

Paducah Police ask anyone with information about the burglaries to call 270-444-8550 or Crime Stoppers at 270-443-TELL.
