On Monday, David Knight signed his official papers placing him on the ballot for next year's May 22 primary for McCracken County Jailer.

Local business man Anthony Veltri and David’s father Ronald Glisson signed the declaration documents in support of his candidacy. Also present to show their support were David’s wife Stacey Knight and his mother, Debbie Glisson. 

October 12, Knight announced his intent to run for the office.

Knight has a total of 21 years of public service which include six years in the United States Marine Corp, ten years as a McCracken County Sheriff's Deputy and more than five years with the McCracken County Jail, where he currently serves.
