Anglers will have the opportunity to qualify for the season-ending King Kat Classic tournament in November, with more than $120,000 in cash and prizes.
Dozens of anglers from around the country will fan out from the Paducah riverfront up and down the Ohio River from Wickliffe to Smithland. They can also fish the Tennessee River to Kentucky Dam, and the Cumberland to Barkley Dam.
After being on the water from 6:30 am til 3pm, they'll race back to the foot of Broadway for weigh-ins at 4 pm.

Along with weigh-in ceremonies, the public is invited to other associated events next week.
A pre-tournament seminar will be held on the day before the tournament at Paducah's Days Inn on Hinckleville Road at 7 pm, registration begins at 5 pm.
A free catfish rodeo for kids 12 and under will take place Saturday morning at the Noble Park lake from 9 - 11 am. Signup starts at 8 am.
The King Kat Tournament Trail will make two other local stops this fall. They include Grand Rivers on September 21, and Caruthersville, Missouri on October 12.
