A Kevil man was arrested Wednesday on drug charges, after deputies served a warrant for prior offenses.
Deputies responded to a Kevil home on Highway 286 in an attempt to serve two active arrest warrants for 35-year-old John Lamar. Deputies found Lamar at the home and placed him under arrest.
During a search, deputies reportedly found a small amount of meth hidden in Lamar’s wallet.
Lamar was booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail on charges of 1st degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, a McCracken County bench warrant for failure to appear, a McCracken County criminal summons for parent to send child to school 1st offense and being a fugitive from another state for a Henry County, TN warrant.
