A man already in jail on a gun charge has been cited for an additional crime.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department arrested 24-year-old Ricky Rashaad Cole on January 8 after a disturbance on College Avenue. He was jailed on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and alcohol intoxication.

Detectives and ATF agents continued investigating, and learned that the pistol Cole was carrying had been stolen from a home on Springwell Lane, but the owner hadn't noticed it was missing.

On Wednesday, detectives cited Cole, who is still in McCracken County Jail, on a charge of receiving stolen property - firearm.

Detectives say Cole is a person of interest in two other investigations into shots fired. In the early morning hours of November 29, at least two people fired shots on Delaware Street. Then, on December 20, someone reported a man shooting at a black car on College Avenue. There were no reports of injuries or damage in either incident.

If anyone has information on Cole or these incidents, they are encouraged to call the Sheriff's Department at 270-444-4719, Paducah Police at 270-444-8550, or the local AFT office at 270-444-5380.
