The last Chihuahua from the group of over 50 that were seized from a Paducah home in October has been adopted.

In a Facebook post on Saturday morning, the McCracken County Humane Society posted a photo of the dog they affectionately named Dopey, saying he was available for adoption. About three hours later, they updated their post to say Dopey had found his, "fur-ever family."

The agency thanked the community for their outpouring of support after they were inundated with the dogs, which were seized after animal control found out a McCracken County Jail inmate had lots of dogs in her home.

Jennifer Campbell and her father, Harold, are facing 51 counts of cruelty to animals after officials realized the conditions in the home. Some of the dogs in the home were already dead and others died from their conditions. The Humane Society nursed the rest back to health and advocated for their adoption. Many people donated supplies, food and money to help the agency care for the dogs.

The Facebook post said, "We are so happy to say that all of the Chihuahuas have been adopted into loving homes. We hope they continue to adjust well in their new homes and would love to see any pictures or videos their owners have. Thank you again for all the support!"
