Hope Unlimited was created in December of 1989 in response to the overwhelming needs of women facing crisis pregnancies in the Paducah-McCracken County area. Now Hope Unlimited not only serves women in crisis pregnancies but now offers services for both men and women in this situation. Some of the other services available are: Free Pregnancy tests, Life Skills and Parenting Classes, Learn to Earn Program, OBGYN Clinic, Hope's Closet thrift store, Post Abortion Grief Counseling, Lay Counseling Sessions, Men's Support and Abstinence Education in the schools.
Now Hope Unlimited has expanded to serve southern Illinois with a center located in Metropolis. Hope Unlimited is a member of Care Net and The National Institute of Family & Life Advocates. All services are provided in a very loving, supportive, comfortable, family-oriented, Christ-led atmosphere.
Hope Unlimited has been hosting their annual banquet since 1994. The banquet is a platform that allows the center to build stronger community ties, gain future sponsors and volunteers, educate churches, organizations and community agencies on the myriad of services offered through the center and reinforce the mission of Hope Unlimited.
The second priority of the banquet is to ensure that individuals and couples who value the ministry of Hope Unlimited are involved, either physically or financially. Ways to get involved physically are mentoring, working in their thrift store "Hope's Closet", or working on special projects. Ways of helping monetarily would be to make a one time donation, become a monthly sponsor, become a corporate sponsor, or have your organization host a fundraiser for the center. Another way to help the center is to donate items to the thrift store.
