McCracken Sheriff's Deputies received a call Thursday night just after 11 of a woman who had broken into a home in the 2200 block of Lovelaceville Florence Station Road East, frightening the residents inside.

Upon deputies' arrival they located 33-year-old Kelly A. Christian from Paducah, inside a resident’s home. Christian was found to be highly under the influence of several illegal drugs which she had injected. Christian was also found to be in possession of two different prescription drugs. Christian was transported to Lourdes Hospital via ambulance for a possible overdose.

Police determined that Christian had taken the illegal drugs, driven her vehicle to a random address on Lovelaceville Florence Station Road East and parked in a driveway. She then began running through the woods, stating that someone was chasing her until she came to the victims' home. Once at the home, she took a brick and broke a large French door window to get inside. The homeowners, who were in the room that she had broken into, ran to a separate part of the home with Christian following until she stopped in the dining room. The homeowners then held Christian at gunpoint until deputies could arrive. During this time Christian continued to make statements to the residents which did not make any sense.

Christian was treated at Lourdes Hospital and upon her release she was placed under arrest for multiple charges and lodged in the McCracken County Jail.

She was charged with public intoxication, criminal mischief, criminal trespassing, possession of a controlled substances.
