Hogancamp Files Paperwork for Legislature Run

A local business owner has filed candidacy paperwork for election to the Kentucky State Legislature.

Joni Hogancamp, owner of home care provider Caring People Services, LLC in McCracken County, says she has filed her letter of intent to seek election to the Kentucky House of Representatives, Third District. The seat is currently held by Gerald Watkins, who is not seeking re-election in 2018.

Hogancamp serves as president of the McCracken County Republicans Women’s Club. She is active in the United Way Reading PALS program, and is a member of the Paducah Rotary Club. She has been member of Broadway United Methodist Church in Paducah for more than 20 years, and has served as the church’s Finance Committee Chair for two years.

Hogancamp lives in Paducah with her husband, Ben. They have four children between them, with three grandchildren.
