Grocery Store Building Destroyed by Fire

Fire destroyed a Paducah business Wednesday afternoon, but nobody was hurt.

A fire was reported at the Peck's Market building at 517 Oaks Road about 12:30 pm. Fire agencies responded and the road was blocked for a while as they fought the blaze. They were there until after dark.

Unfortunately, the building was a complete loss.

The store has not been open for years, but the Peck family has continued to use the building to make their popular tamales.
