According to a post by his girlfriend on his Facebook page, she and Fosko went for a late walk in Mayfield Sunday night, and he suffered a massive heart attack afterward, as they rode in a car. He later died at Jackson Purchase Medical Center.
A Lone Oak High School graduate, Fosko joined the Paducah Sun in 1986. Monday was his 46th birthday. He was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.
Joey is survived by his parents, Joseph “Joe” B. Fosko and Janice “Jan” Garrett Fosko of Paducah, brother, Mike Fosko of Symsonia, and one niece, Hunter Fosko.
Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Jamie Broome officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
