According to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department, the crash happened around 6:15 pm. Deputies said a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Ray Lowe was stopped on Oregon Street at the North Friendship Road intersection. Police said Lowe was attempting to cross North Friendship and struck a vehicle driven by 42-year-old Keith Powell.
Powell’s vehicle flipped onto its roof and slid several feet before coming to a stop, blocking both lanes of North Friendship Road.
Powell and his passenger were both transported to an area hospital for treatment of their injuries.
