Four people were arrested Wednesday and a fifth was charged as a result of a lengthy investigation by the Paducah Police Department’s Drug and Vice Enforcement Unit and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.

A federal grand jury recently indicted 37-year-old Charles Bradshaw, 44-year-old Ernest Dixon (two counts), 31-year-old James Crawford and 31-year-old Quanterance Matchem on charges of conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine.

The men were arrested Wednesday by Paducah police detectives and patrol officers, ATF agents and U.S. Marshals. A search warrant was served at Dixon’s home, and authorities cited his girlfriend, Stacey Durham, on possession charges.

Bradshaw, Dixon, Crawford and Matchem were booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
