Fort Campbell will be hosting an independence week carnival July 2-6 with fireworks on July 4.

The 101st Airborne Division and Fort Campbell Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation will host the Carnival at the Fort Campbell Division Parade Field located at 47th Street and Desert Storm Avenue. The event will be free to the public.

On July 4th, the carnival will be open from 1 pm to midnight. The 101st Airborne Division Band will have music at 5 pm on the parade field, followed by a welcome ceremony at 6 pm. Clayton Quisenberry hits the stage at 6:30. This years headliner, The Downtown Band, performs at 8 pm and fireworks start at 9:30 pm.

DFMWR Special Events Coordinator Sharra Rivera Munoz stated:  "The Fort Campbell Independence Day Celebration includes a 22-minute fireworks show choreographed to music. It is one of the most spectacular shows around and an amazing tribute to our nation."

Blankets and chairs are welcome. Glass bottles, pets, personal fireworks, outside food/drinks, or personal weapons are not permitted. Those with non-military ID's will need to enter through gates 4 or 7. Be prepared with vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and a valid photo ID for each person in the vehicle ages 16 and over.
