This year’s Super Bowl will have a local flavor. Bryan Hall was born in Carbondale, IL and is a 2006 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School, where he was a three-sport athlete in football, track and wrestling. He was a three-year starter on the defensive line at Arkansas State and signed with the Baltimore Ravens as a rookie free agent in 2011.

On Sunday, Feb. 3, the Ravens will play the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII at the Superdome in New Orleans, LA. Hall says playing in the Super Bowl is a dream come true.

“I always dreamed I would be here but now that I’m here it’s kind of surreal,” Hall said. “It hasn’t really sunk in yet.”

Hall, who wears No. 95, said he’s received over 1,000 ticket requests from friends and family members but only two people will get tickets.

“My mom and dad,” Hall said. “That way no one can accuse me of playing favorites.”

Hall said he thinks the Ravens will win the big game but he knows the 49ers will be tough to beat.

“We both have explosive offenses and great defenses so it will be a power on power thing.”

Super Bowl XLVII kicks off Feb. 3 at 5:30 pm and can be seen live on CBS.
