Police have arrested a Paducah man for allegedly stealing prescription medication from a resident at a Paducah apartment complex.

The McCracken County Sheriff's Department said a resident in Brookmeade Apartments reported on Feb. 5 that some of her prescription medications were missing. Deputies said there were no signs of forced entry into the home each time the medications were noticed missing.

The resident placed a hidden camera in the apartment. Two days later 46-year-old Casey Looper, a former maintenance man at the apartments, was seen taking medication from the bedroom.

Deputies said Looper confessed on Friday to taking the medications on several occasions.

Looper was arrested and booked into McCracken County Jail.
