The Paducah Police are seeking the public’s help in locating two western Kentucky residents charged with drug offenses.

On October 10, 35-year-old Jerry Polk, of Paducah, and 33-year-old April Williams, of Calvert City, were among five people indicted on various drug charges by a McCracken County grand jury.

Polk was indicted on charges of first-degree trafficking cocaine, second offense; trafficking marijuana, second offense; and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

Williams was indicted on a charge of first-degree trafficking morphine.

The indictments come after police began separate investigations earlier this year after tips came in to the department. Undercover drug buys were made, and a search warrant was served at Polk's home. Police recovered about 70 grams of cocaine, about a pound of marijuana, and a handgun.

Police say over four grams of cocaine was taken from 22-year-old Shaquille Beard of Elmdale Road. He was indicted for possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and trafficking cocaine, second offense.

Also indicted was 26-year-old Jeremy T. Petter of Boaz, on two counts of trafficking methamphetamine.

Beard and Petter were served their charges while already in McCracken Regional Jail on other charges.

Petter already faces meth trafficking charges, and was arrested September 6 for drug trafficking, possession of various drugs and paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence. Those charges are still pending.

The fifth man, 24-year-old Dorian Shumpert of Levin Avenue was indicted for trafficking meth, second offense, and trafficking a simulated controlled substance, second offense. He was arrested last week while checking in with his parole officer.

Beard and Shumpert are on parole after having already served time for drug trafficking.

Anyone who knows where Polk or Williams can be found should call Paducah Police Department at 270-444-8550 or CrimeStoppers at 270-443-TELL.
